2 months

Baby Brox is reaching epic proportions...
2 month stats:
11.77 pounds
23 inches long First smile caught on camera!

This is that very same football suit that swallowed him up for his first ride home from the hospital...as you can see, his little toes have worn out their welcome...:)

First FULL Church outing

We all survived:)
It's amazing to see the growth of this little guy, he's getting those perfect kissing cheeks and chubby rolls...everywhere:) He's smiling more and more and the other day found himself in the mirror~he and his new friend are off to a good start~he coo'd for a good 5 minutes to himself:) This past month he's also upgraded from sleeping in our bed to actually sleeping in his cradle...and now has officially made the jump to the 'big boy' bed...the crib. He was just too heavy for the little cradle! And so far, so good. And here's some amazing news~he's sleeping typically 5-6 hours at the beginning of the night!! Bless him:)
He still loves to cuddle and will always take a nap with mom in the morning...We love this little man.

Blessing Day

September 26th little Brox was blessed and he was the perfect little guy up there in the circle of men....he was literally silent while being held...ok that's a lie, he apparently let some serious gas fly while being held by his fellow men...so much gas that everyone in the circle was flabbergasted that the microphone didn't pick it up and broadcast it throughout the chapel. There was wide spread concern that he maybe even ruined his darling little blessing suit, that was doomed to eek onto some ill-fated hands. Don't worry, all ended well, Brigg gave him a beautiful blessing and everyone sat down unscathed...though my dad was nearly bursting with suppressed laughter.

We are so grateful to have had this beautiful experience and to be blessed with such a beautiful boy.
A million thanks to family and friends, we are grateful for your friendship and love.

10-10-10

Happy 1st birthday to our dear Bridger B. It's his first birthday today. We had Funfetti cupcakes:) Every little boy (including Brigg because of his undying love for Funfetti) Loves Funfetti:) It breaks my heart that he isn't here to eat his cupcake. It breaks my heart that we haven't had a year of 'firsts' with him. But as I think back to that weekend a year ago, I think that it also marked the beginning of many lessons, many still in progress, and many I'm sure we didn't learn adequately but there are many that maybe perhaps wouldn't have been learned at this point in our lives if it weren't for our little Bridger B. He caused us to stretch and grow, I feel like our hearts grew 100 sizes the day that he was born and since his birth it has been filled with countless experiences that will always be dear to us. There isn't a day that we don't wish to hold him and love him, there isn't a day that we don't wish for him to be here with his Mom, Dad, and baby brother Brox, but there also isn't a day when we don't feel the love of that sweet little boy. We look forward to the day when we can hold him again, but until then we will continue to enjoy having him as our Angel Baby.

Though a thank you from a blog hardly suffices, THANK YOU to the countless friends and family and family who are our friends:) who have served us and blessed our lives this past year. Your love and support has meant the world to us and we know that we will never be able to repay the kindness that has been shown even if we lived a hundred lifetimes. You are truly appreciated~ and you know who you are:) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Brand new and fresh:)
One month...still pretty fresh:)

First football game

First set of plaids

First bath...didn't love it that's for sure. Hate could be more like it.

Where he loves to sleep...Mom and Dad's bed...coincidentally hates his own bed:) I've created a little monster by allowing this I know. But let's be honest, who can say no to their baby who loves to cuddle?

First reading lesson from Aunt Mimi who is a 6th grade teacher

We all do a lot of this...ok not really. But getting better at night...ever so slightly.:)

First Labor Day

First play date...arranged youngest to oldest for those who are wondering:)

5 weeks...and apparently worried about something important:)

He's here!!!

BROXTON aka BROX
7lbs 3 oz 19 inches of beautiful healthy baby!

A dear friend once shared with me her belief that there are times when we have experiences and thoughts just cannot be described...and while they can't be described, they do sometimes manage to escape our mouths in the form of a blissful sigh. Simply put, words cannot do whatever it may be due justice. Think back to some of the most touching experiences of your life and you will most likely remember one of those unintentional sighs finding it's way in. When words are inadequate, there are sighs of happiness, sadness, gratitude, love, loss, and everything else in between... Here is to one of the 'happiest sighs' in our life times~ Our little Brox was born on August 10th and we have absolutely fallen in love with him.

And to the words that I will never be able to speak or write that could possibly convey the overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for this sweet little spirit...here is another happy-sleep deprived but entirely blissful sigh. :)

~And I have to put in a little side note-can I just say thank you to you husband-first that you read our blog, second that you had the plan to sweetly surprise me, third that you took the time to figure out how to post, and fourth and most importantly~that you have the best rose colored glasses on when you look at me:) I love you so much for that.

I Don't Know How She Does It

I am not sure how to blog or what to say on a blog, but I know the password my sweet wife uses to do this blog, so I am going to throw something in to surprise her. She is an angel, a saint, a perfect women, sent down to earth to save me from myself. I don't understand how she puts up with me, but bless her heart, she does. I get nervous to leave her for more than a couple hours because I am positive that one of these times God is going to pull her up, straight up translation, because she is so perfect. Without her, I am nothing, literally a lump on a log, with a very thick beaver pelt on my head. She is the only one to keep me happy, excited, and calm. I am rather intense, competitive, stressed, and easy to blow up, but she keeps everything constant and steady, just like the Savior would do. She is also incredibly beautiful, not just her good looks, but everything about her is beautiful. Sometimes I wonder how I was lucky enough to snag her. The best thing I ever did was trick her into marrying me, hahaha, she thought she was going to get someone normal, little did she know that I am absolutely crazy. But a good side note to my insanity is that I am crazy about her. Sweetheart, you are my angel, I love you so much that I can barely focus during the day. Little Broxton was blessed with the best mom in the world, thank you for raising our cute little champ, and thanks for raising your other big kid, me. I love you, I lub you, and I lub ya lub.

Happy Be-Lated Anniversary~

Well we've officially achieved the 2 year status as far as anniversaries go!...which is so nice to officially have surpassed what people consider the 'honeymoon stage' and good news~we still love each other and actually enjoy being around each other. I feel like we qualify as a 'real' married couple because of this~which is odd I know. But everyone who is in the same relatively newly married boat knows exactly what I'm talking about; people only think that you enjoy being around each other because you've still yet to complete one full rotation around the sun together while simultaneously living in the same house and sharing the same shampoo. So here's to you my dear Beaver Pelted Man~I love you and look forward to many more 'qualifying' anniversaries:)
Some things we've done together this past year in their respective categories:
Most death defying/stupid:
Dangled our feet over the edge of the Grand Canyon
Lone Ranger:
Crossed 8 states together, living in 3 for the summer
Most responsible:
Got our very own cell phone plan
Got our very own insurance policy.... thank you Dad for keeping us on yours for so long:)
Least Responsible:
Still haven't combined bank accounts
the list goes on and on in this category:)
Most Domestic:
Melynne made 2 quilts...well really half of each, so 1 quilt let's say:)
Least Domestic:
Had our very WORST meal-Melynne charred some chicken in the crockpot (who knew that could happen)-more like incinerated-our entire apartment smelled like we'd cremated someone.
And a whole lot of 'new experiences'
Held our first child Bridger; laying his sweet little body to rest in the Angel Gardens in the Provo City Cemetery
Welcomed home a dear missionary:)
Got a fake christmas tree (can you believe it?) but hey, it was free:)
Both computers died/got eaten by an apparently deadly virus,
Became official mac users,
Met and made many new friends that we hope to keep for our lifetimes,
Strengthened some family ties that we will be forever grateful for,
Enjoyed an overwhelming amount of blessings that came in many different forms...
Ok the list goes on and on....but suffice it to say that without you babe, things wouldn't have been nearly as exciting. Happy Anniversary Love!
